HELP for WOMEN & CHILDREN in UGANDA
Tabitha's dream is to transform the slum/brothel of Ki-Mambasa, near the Ugandan capital of Kampala, into a Miracle Village of hope and healing for the young prostitutes who live and work there, and for their children. They've been widowed or abandoned by their husbands or boyfriends, or they've run away from abusive homes, and they are not able to support themselves in any other way. Among other things, the money raised will help to purchase land, build a training and transition facility, provide an education for the young children, and health services for all.
Tabitha’s story is in Mary Ann Halpin’s new book Fearless Women, Visions of a New World. I co-edited Mary Ann’s previous book Fearless Women Fearless Wisdom.
